With the recent announcement of Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy retiring, a lot of people have been either really worried or really excited. For the past decade Kennedy has been the swing vote, often breaking the tie between the liberal and conservative justices on prominent cases. Justices Roberts, Thomas, Alito, and Gorsuch have a conservative leaning, whereas Ginsburg, Sotomayor, Kagen, and Breyer have liberal leanings.
Those on the left are scared that the president will appoint a conservative justice to replace Kennedy and conservatives are excited about that possibility. After the president appointed conservative Neil Gorsuch last year, it stands to reason that another conservative justice will be appointed. It is also worth mentioning that President Trump, although I personally do not think he is conservative or cares much about Pro-Life stuff, promised to appoint pro-life justices.
Why is getting a conservative Supreme Court Justice important? Because there are current justices who openly support eugenics and population control, such as Ruth Bader Ginsburg. In a New York Times interview a few years ago, Ginsburg said “at the time Roe was decided, there was concern about population growth and particularly growth in populations that we don’t want to have too many of”.
This extreme view is prominent on the Left and stems from the early American Eugenics and Birth Control movements that wanted to keep the birth rate of certain races low so that there would be less of them.
Margaret Sanger, founder of Planned Parenthood said many things similar to what Ginsburg believes. Sanger said she wanted “to exterminate the Negro population,” she called for “the sterilization of ‘genetically inferior races’”. In a New York Times article in 1923, Sanger said that birth control “means the release and cultivation of the better racial elements in our society, and the gradual suppression, elimination and eventual extirpation of defective stocks— those human weeds which threaten the blooming of the finest flowers of American civilization.”
She was, along with many other Planned Parenthood presidents and officials, a member of the American Eugenics Society, an organization that pushed for racial supremacy of whites and the weeding out of other races they believed unfit for society. Sanger also bragged about speaking at KKK events.
As you can see, Ginsburg’s ideas are not new or alone, she has a great cloud of racist and eugenic witnesses that believe the same. The fact that Ginsburg believes these things makes her an extremely dangerous part of the Supreme Court. Her views are out of date, bigoted, and discriminatory.
Roe v Wade and it’s sister cases, the modern day Dred Scott cases, essentially declared that a group of human beings are not considered legal human beings. This made it legal to kill them from conception all the way up until the day they are born (all 9 months of pregnancy) for any reason. Since that case over 60 million innocent human beings have been violently killed. The majority of those killed in abortion are strategically targeted black and minority races. The very people that Ginsburg said she didn’t “want too many of”.
With a conservative pro-life justice, there will no longer be ties on the issue of life. The majority will be in favor of cases that seek to protect the innocent human beings being targeted. If a conservative pro-life justice is appointed, we will, for the first time in a very long time see a very real possibility of abolishing abortion in our lifetime and ending the greatest human rights issue in history. With a conservative pro-life justice, we can finally put an end to the genocide that has already claimed the lives of over 60 million innocent human beings. That is why it is important that we get a conservative and pro-life Supreme Court Justice.
